1. Overview
EcoEdge dashboard (dashboard.ecoedge.io) does not use HTTP cookies of any kind — not for analytics, not for advertising, and not for tracking your behaviour across websites.
We use your browser's localStorage exclusively for technical purposes that are strictly necessary to operate the service. This falls outside the scope of the EU ePrivacy Directive cookie rules because localStorage data is never transmitted in HTTP headers and is confined entirely to this domain.
2. What we store in localStorage
The following entries are written to localStorage when you sign in:

None of these values are shared with third parties, sent to analytics services, or used for any purpose beyond operating the dashboard.
3. No cookies — verified
We periodically verify our cookie footprint using curl -sc /dev/null https://dashboard.ecoedge.io/. The response contains zero Set-Cookie headers. You can verify this yourself at any time.
4. Your rights under GDPR
Because we store only data you provide during sign-in and do not process it for any purpose other than operating the service, this storage is classified as strictly necessary under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) and does not require separate consent.
You retain the following rights at any time:
- Access — view all data we hold about you on the My Profile page.
- Erasure — sign out to immediately clear all localStorage entries from your browser.
- Portability — your account data is available via the Profile page.
- Objection / restriction — contact us at [email protected].
5. Third-party services
The dashboard itself loads no third-party scripts, fonts, or tracking pixels. The backend uses OpenStreetMap Nominatim (server-side only) to reverse-geocode your device's coordinates into a city name — no data is sent from your browser to Nominatim.
6. Changes to this policy
If we ever introduce cookies or additional storage, we will update this page, display an in-app notice, and — where required by law — ask for your consent before setting any non-essential storage.
